If you are interested in attending a clinic or in private lessons, please complete a web form or call me at 440-759-2230. I would love to talk with you!
I am thinking of some new ideas such as: Preparing Your Dressage Horse for the Trail, Transitioning Your Off The Track Thoroughbred for the Trail, Natural Horsemanship for Kids, Ground Work/ Ground Play With a Purpose, and Building Your Relationship, Connecting Naturally, Ground Zero Horsemanship, Humans as Horses simulations to help us feel what horses feel, and Leadership Development.
If you have any other ideas, I would love to hear them!
Each clinic can be catered to your group's personal needs, or we can accomodate all participants with a trail focused or ground-work focused clinic. We can study horse personality and how it affects how we teach those particular horses. Let's talk about what may work for you and/or your group of friends. Call and let's schedule a fun, learning experience here in Athens. Or, check out my schedule on the Live To Ride calendar at http://www.livetoridehorses.com/apps/calendar/
No Fences 4 x 4 Program:
This new mini clinic caters to the horse rider, owner, or new trainer looking to improve their communication with his/her horse by learning or improving skills in different areas of training. Each clinic will focus on a particular piece of training and will offer classroom, demonstration, and practice for 4 horses & handlers for 4 hours. With this small class, you will recieve personal attention and also have the benefit of learning how different horses might respond which enriches your learning experience.
You will need to bring hay for your horse if you would like so that they are comfortable while you might be practicing or having class, a sack lunch or snack depending on the time of day your clinic runs (there will be a half an hour break during all sessions), a halter and lead (8-10' cotton preferred), a 36" dressage whip or a "carrot stick" (if you prefer), a bridle fitted with a full cheek snaffle for classes featuring bridle work, and protective boots for your horse's legs if you have them.
NO stallions or pets are allowed and you MUST provide a copy of your horse's vaccinations (4 or 5 way shots), strangles vaccine highly recommended, and/or a health certificate from your Vet. All horses must also be fit and in good health upon arrival. Facility reserves the right to turn away any sickly horses.
You may bring a friend to help you. However, they will not be provided with handouts, may not bring a horse, and are expected to be considerate of all students who have paid for the session. They may listen and observe.
Students must be 13 yrs or older. If participating in a riding session, all participants under 18 yrs of age must wear a helmet. Everyone must wear appropriate attire and heeled boots. All participants will also be required to sign a liability release.
